Recycling hubs have been installed to drop-off household hazardous waste (HHW) that must not go in household bins but can be recycled. This creates a safer method to recover resources to be turned into new goods.
Did you know? WA alone recorded 81 lithium-ion related fires in 2022 and it’s estimated there are about three fires every week in Australian waste and recycling collection trucks caused by people binning batteries – and these numbers are only increasing. Please make the effort to recycle batteries at one of the City's collection hubs or collection bins at all Woolworths, Coles and ALDI supermarkets.
You can drop off:
- Household batteries
- Printer cartridges
- Aerosol cans
- Light globes
Recycling Hub locations:
- Armadale Library
- Seville Grove Library
- Kelmscott Library
- Administration Building
- Armadale Fitness and Aquatic Centre (AFAC)
- Piara Waters Library
Our local libraries also collect old mobile phones. For more information on mobile phone recycling, visit E-Waste disposal.
Additional items can be recycled at the Drop 'n' Shop Recycling Hub:
- Plastic bottle caps
- Household batteries
- Light globes
For more information, visit Drop 'n' Shop Reuse Centre.
Items must be sorted prior to attending our facility. Unsorted items will not be accepted.
