Find out what playground is near you and explore the many playgrounds across the city.

With more than 100 playgrounds, there will surely be one to meet your play needs across various ages and skill levels. Parents/Caregivers are recommended to use the playground to check that it is appropriate for their child's ability level or that they feel comfortable using it and must supervise their kids at all times.

Our parks range in size from small local parks to larger district parks with various play facilities. The distribution of District, Neighbourhood and Local Parks allows us to have a balanced level of quality of parks across the City.

Parks under the management of the developer

Developers are responsible for maintaining newly finished parks and reserves inside these areas for two years as part of new developments.

Using our Parks and Reserves

The City provides park facilities such as playgrounds, BBQs and picnic tables, which are available to all members of the community and cannot be reserved for a specific group.

For members of the public using our parks and reserves;

  • Bringing a garbage bag to clean the site after you have used it.
  • Please take responsibility for removing excess rubbish to avoid bin overflow.
  • When utilising the BBQ facilities, please be courteous and clean the hotplate after each use
  • We encourage park visitors to pick up after themselves including taking home dog poo bags if there is not a bin in park
  • To find out where you can exercise your dog, dog parks and dog prohibited areas visit out Dogs in Public Places page
  • Park visitors are responsible for their own safety and welfare (including the safety and welfare of children under their supervision or control) at all times.

If you want to have a major gathering or event in one of the City's parks, please notify the city 9394 5000.
