The City of Armadale is partnering with Armadale Community Family Centre and Challis CPC to celebrate National Families Week 2017.
National Families Week celebrates the vital role that families play in Australian society. The 2017 theme is ‘Stronger Families, Stronger Communities’ and highlights the important role family’s play as the central building block of our communities and that community wellbeing is enhanced by family wellbeing.
City of Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP said everyone is welcome to attend and celebrate the meaning of family and to make the most of family life.
“Join us and celebrate with your family and friends and share in the family activities such as pistol painting, playdough and coloured rice and pasta sensory fun, lots of toys in the park for the kids and try the dance based family fitness Kong Kids.
“There’s even a Kindness Corner where you can ‘bring, swap and grab’ items such as clothing, kids toy, books and small bric a brac; a great opportunity to find something you need or the chance to declutter your home and share with the local community.
“Fruit platters and healthy nibbles will be available and tea and coffee for a gold coin donation. You can even get physical and jump on a special fitted bicycle to make your own pedal power smoothie,” he said.
