In celebration of National Volunteer Week, volunteers living or volunteering across the City of Armadale are invited to an exclusive viewing of Oklahoma on Saturday 20 May, 2017.
National Volunteer Week is held throughout Australia from Monday 8 to Sunday 14 May and is the largest celebration of volunteers in Australia.
It provides the opportunity to highlight the importance of volunteers in our communities, and recognises the 6 million Australians who volunteer each year.
Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP said volunteers play a vital role in the City, helping a vast array of community organisations to provide services to people in need of assistance.“For many organisations volunteers are vital to their long-term success and sustainability and we are thankful for their efforts in making Armadale a better place.
“Hosted by the City, this free event recognises the contribution of our local volunteers and provides an opportunity to acknowledge and thank them for their hard work in our community”, he said.
The exclusive viewing will be held at the Roleystone Theatre, 587 Brookton Highway, Roleystone, on Saturday 20 May from 1.30 to 5pm.
Bookings are essential to obtain your ticket to this exclusive event. RSVP are required by 10 May on 9394 5642 or email volunteering@armadale.wa.gov.au.
