The Armadale Arena community recreation centre is holding a Community Open Day to showcase health, fitness, sports and recreation options available at the centre.
On Saturday 17 September from 9am to noon, the Arena’s Community Open Day is a free event aimed at promoting all the activities available at the Centre.
City of Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones AOM, JP said the Community Open Day will include a variety of family fun activities and a series of information stalls manned by health professionals with free health checks.
“Other attractions on the day include gymnastics and roller skating displays, a roller derby bout with the Dread Pirate Rollers and bubble soccer fun activities for kids - both big and small,” he said.
“Families with young children are encouraged to take advantage of the free crèche facilities, while they take time out to sample some of the gym and group fitness activities that are on offer at the Arena.”
The Arena will launch its new Group Fitness Timetable during the event, with no joining fee and special membership offers with prizes to be won.
Children six years and over can also participate in free Lego activities.
The centre’s state-of-the-art gym offers the very latest in equipment and a range of fitness classes in a small and friendly environment, catering for all ages.
From classes designed to burn calories, to classes which tone individual muscle groups, Armadale Arena is able to provide a variety of activities for individuals or groups.
Armadale Arena is located on the corner of Townley Street and Forrest Road, Armadale.
