There’s so much happening at the City of Armadale libraries during the April school holidays, there’s no excuse for children getting bored and restless at home.
Kids will enjoy a range of holiday fun, with baby chickens hatching, Lego building sessions, fun craft activities and so much more.
Baby Chickens
11 – 22 April, during library opening hours
Armadale Library
Meet some adorable new fluffy friends. Learn what baby chickens get up to as they hatch from eggs in the incubator, before running around in their pen. All ages welcome.
Eco Faeries
Tuesday 12 April, 10 – 11am
Kelmscott Library
Learn about nature and the environment with the Eco Faeries. There will be stories, songs and dancing. Suitable for children aged four to eight years.
Birds of Prey – two sessions available
Wednesday 13 April, 10 – 11am or 11 – noon
Armadale Library
Meet some fierce but friendly birds. Come and see nature’s top predators while learning about the environment. Suitable for children aged six years and over.
The Magic Zoo: Book Launch
Thursday 14 April, 10 – 11am
Armadale Library
Local author Patricia Cotte will be launching her new book The Magic Zoo. Come and hear about brothers, Jack and Sam who have an adventure at a magic zoo. The zoo is home to lots of amazing and odd looking animals. Suitable for children aged four to eight years.
Lego: Building from the ground up – two sessions

Use your imagination to build some amazing structures during these construction themed Lego sessions. There will be games and challenges. Suitable for children aged six to 12 years.
Games and Craft
Monday 18 April, 2 – 3pm
Kelmscott Library
Show off your creative side and get ready to have some fun, with lots of games and craft at this session. Suitable for children aged six to 10 years.
Dream Time Storytime
Tuesday 19 April, 10 – 11am
Seville Grove Library
Beccy Garlett will be taking everyone on a journey through space and time with her Dream Time Storytelling. Her stories are inspired by Noongar culture. Suitable for children aged four to 10 years.
Book Cubby
Wednesday 20 April, 2 – 3.30pm
Armadale Library
Join the ranks of other local junior authors by publishing a book for the Armadale Book Cubby. Create your own special book to keep, and leave a copy for other children to enjoy. Suitable for children aged four years and over.
