Throughout the year the City of Armadale will be hosting a series of Positive Ageing Sessions at the Armadale Library to engage older members of the community.
The workshops are held each month and cover a wide range of topics such as safety and security, health, activities for older people and other useful information.

Choosing a Financial Planner
Wednesday 3 February, 1.30 – 2.30pm
Armadale Library, Armadale Central Shopping Centre
A financial Information Service Officer will discuss:
- Selecting a Financial Planner.
- The financial planning process.
- What must be included in a financial plan.
- Investment Risk.
- Fees and charges.
Decluttering Workshop
Wednesday 3 February, 3 – 4pm
Armadale Library, Armadale Central Shopping Centre
The City of Armadale’s Switch Your Thinking Program Coordinator will present a workshop on decluttering. The workshop will cover:
- How decluttering can make you feel great.
- Simple ways to free yourself your home and family from the clutter around you.
Cake Decorating
Thursday 11 February, 10am – noon
Armadale Library, Armadale Central Shopping Centre
This cake decorating workshop will be facilitated by representatives from the Cake Decorator’s Association of WA – Darling Range Branch, which is based in Armadale.
Kick start your cake decorating skills with this easy step by step session on decorating cup-cakes using fondant icing to create flowers. Take your finished item home for afternoon tea or a gift for someone special.
A cup-cake and materials will be supplied at a cost of $10 per person, payable to the instructor on the day.
