The City of Armadale will come alive with colour and entertainment as people from around Perth descend on Minnawarra Park for the Highland Gathering on Sunday 13 September.
This free, community festival will include all things Scottish.
Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP said this is a chance to experience and indulge in this vibrant culture that’s full of kilts, clans and tartans.
“The Highland Gathering is a highlight in the City’s events calendar. This is a premier community event that attracts people from all over the City.
“We will once again be including the Perth Kilt Run, a 2.5 kilometre leisure run or five kilometre warrior run through the City centre.
“You don’t need to be Scottish to join in the fun, simply bring your family and friends along and enjoy authentic Scottish food, Celtic music and Scottish culture right here in Armadale,” he said.
The Perth Kilt Run will begin at 9.30am followed by the Highland Gathering at 11am.
To register for the Perth Kilt Run visit perthkiltrun.com.au. Kilts are available for purchase from $20.
Both events will be located at Minnawarra Park, corner Armadale Road and Orchard Avenue, Armadale. There will be a public car park set up on Abbey Road off Railway Avenue.
The Highland Gathering with the Perth Kilt Run is a free, family friendly, accessible, smoke free event proudly bought to you by the City of Armadale.
