The City of Armadale annually hosts one of the biggest bicycle fun rides of the year, and this year the Grand Fondo will traverse through Armadale hills on Sunday 17 May.
Mayor Henry Zelones said the cycling tour is based on the Italian Grand Fondo cycling style, where cyclists and the local community have the opportunity to engage before and after the ride.
“Participants range from recreational riders to established cyclists looking for a new challenge, and the Armadale hills offer just that.
“The routes are designed in a manner where cyclists can see more of the area, and discover the hidden gems that are otherwise missed when travelling by car.
“As there are no road closures along the routes I encourage motorists to be aware of the increased presence of cyclists on our roads during the event,” said Mayor Zelones.
Participants will leave from the Armadale City Centre, Jull Street Mall from 6.30am and expected to return around 1pm on Sunday 17 May.
