The Pickering Brook and Surrounds Sustainability and Tourism Strategy study is being coordinated by the Department of Planning Lands and Heritage (DPLH) and aims to provide strategic guidance to Government for tourism-related growth within the Perth Hills Study Area, which includes parts of Roleystone and Karragullen in the City of Armadale. In February 2022 DPLH conducted a public advertising and submission period for a draft Pickering Brook and Surrounds Sustainability and Tourism Strategy - Facilitating Sustainable Economic Opportunities report.
