This Australia Day, head down to Minnawarra Park for the City of Armadale’s alcohol-free, family-friendly community event.
City of Armadale Mayor, Ruth Butterfield said she was looking forward to the community coming together to enjoy the live entertainment, fireworks, and family fun activities to be held across both Minnawarra and Memorial Parks.
The City has been running the event for 30 years and it always proves to be very popular with our local community. Local radio station, 107.3 HFM will be broadcasting live from the event so those watching the fireworks from other vantage points can tune into the soundtrack as well.
“Gates open at 5pm, so there’ll be plenty of time to enjoy the carnival rides, food vans, and the dedicated ‘free family-fun zone’ at Memorial Park, before the fireworks kick off at 8.30pm. Live entertainment including performances from the Rolling Stones world class tribute band, Jumping Jack Flash, will add to the fun” said Mayor Butterfield.
To comply with current COVID safety requirements, attendees will need to show proof of vaccination and register with SafeWA or the manual register. This is a free ticketed event with bookings to be made through the City’s website at https://www.armadale.wa.gov.au/events/australia-day-armadale-alcohol-free.
