It is that time of year again – the National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWRiMo) is back.
The City of Armadale will be hosting a range of events which will encourage and inspire budding novelists in our region.
NaNoWRiMo begins on 1 November and works to empower and encourage creative writing around the world. Aspiring writers are encouraged to participate in this event where you are encouraged to write a 50,000 word novel by 30 November.
Introductory Session
Wednesday 7 October, 10 – 11am
Armadale Library, Armadale Central Shopping Centre
Whether you are an aspiring amateur or professional writer, the introductory session will outline how you can be involved and what events and activities are coming up.
This is a great opportunity to meet fellow writers, learn more about the Armadale Writers’ Group, and discover how your favourite libraries are supporting writers in the community.

Well known author, ghost writer and script writer John Harman will give you some writing tips that will focus on the various types of plots and how using two or more can give your story some muscle.
