Community groups and not-for-profit organisations will be able to apply for up to $1000 in funding when the first round of the City of Armadale’s Community Grants Program for 2017/18 opens on Monday 14 August.
The City welcomes applications before 27 September from community groups that wish to receive funding for projects which benefit the local community.
Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP said sporting clubs, schools, welfare, arts, youth, seniors and ethnic groups can apply for the grants to support their projects, provide information or training programs or purchase materials.
“These small grants can have a large impact on reducing costs for groups and organisations with limited funding options.”
The City provides two rounds of community grant funding each financial year, with the aim of supporting community-based initiatives developed by groups located in the City of Armadale.
The City has revised its Financial Assistance Policy and it is now essential for community groups to discuss their project with the relevant member of the Community Services team prior to making their submission.
