Norwegian Minister lays founding stone at Forrestdale Business Park

The Norwegian Minister of Petroleum and Energy, Tord Lien has laid the foundation stone on Thursday 26 February for the new premises of Scottech Oilfield Services to be built at Forrestdale Business Park (FBP).

Scottech Oilfield Services, a well-established filtration service company, was taken over by Offshore Technology Services in 2012. Scottech’s 4974 square meter block is due for completion in early 2016.

“Forrestdale Business Park is a prime location for industry and commercial operators and it is no surprise a powerhouse in the oil and gas industry, such as Scottech, has chosen to operate from the strategic location,” said Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM JP.

“Scottech is another major player that is setting up operations in FBP, making the most of the Park’s connectivity to major transport routes and transit links and large areas of affordable industrial land.

“The City of Armadale has been actively targeting key industries to locate at FBP. The Mining Services Industry is already well established, and now our focus on the Oil and Gas Industry (and related businesses) is paying off.

“Scottech now join other oil and gas industry suppliers, including Oilfield and Resource Rentals and International Corrosion Services, who have seen the benefits and value of relocating to FBP.

“When fully developed, FBP will accommodate up to 700 industrial lots, with employment for 12,000 workers, and provide economic stimulus throughout the wider community,” said Mayor Zelones.
