Tai Chi demonstration

The Taoist Tai Chi Society of Australia is conducting a free demonstration, highlighting the health benefits of the exercise and performing some introductory routines.

Meet the author – Xavier Toby

Ever been in debt, in love, and out of options? Well that’s exactly what happened to writer and comedian Xavier Toby, who banished himself to a mining site in outback Australia, in order to pay off a huge credit card debt.

Going Out of My Mined is Xavier’s second comedy memoir packed with tales from the coal face. Experience Australia’s true Wild West as Xavier shares some of these stories.

Collecting with Loraine Coates

For decades Loraine has unearthed and acquired a variety of objects, building impressive collections and a keen interest on how and where they were made.

Come along and meet Loraine and learn how her love of collecting led her to write about our state’s culture of craftsmanship and manufacturing in the 1900s.

Talking Teddies – An evening with bear maker Kay Cooper
