The City of Armadale Annual Dogs’ Day Out at Rushton Park on Sunday 23 October is a celebration of all things canine.
The Dogs’ Day Out will be held from 10am to 2pm, with friendly the City of Armadale Rangers team on-hand to provide plenty of free advice for dog owners.
If you think your four legged friend has talent and will impress the judges with a trick or sing to a tune, bring him or her along with the family and join in the fun!
Other attractions on the day include stalls featuring dog products and services, free veterinary advice, obedience demonstrations, agility and dog displays, micro chipping service, grooming and dog washes.
For the kids there is a bouncy castle, face painting and food, ice creams and drinks to purchase.
The kids will enjoy dressing up their beloved pooch in their Sunday Best outfit for the Best Dressed Dog competition at 11am and don’t forget the Best Dog Trick competition at 11.45am.
Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones said the Dogs’ Day Out was a fun event and social day for the family pet with a serious message.
“Dogs make wonderful family pets, but with ownership of any animal come responsibilities. For example, by law, all dogs over the age of 12 weeks must be registered with your local government and micro-chipped.
“Registrations expire on 31 October and must be renewed in November”, he said.
**Dogs at Rushton Park must be on a leash at all times.
Rushton Park is located on the corner of River Road and Orlando Street in Kelmscott.
