The City of Armadale is currently in negotiations with a potential operator for the Armadale Golf Course.
Programmed Turnpoint, one of Australia’s leading providers in construction and maintenance of major facilities including golf courses, has been identified as the preferred operator. The company will continue to work with the City of Armadale to reach an agreement for the management of the course, with a draft agreement to be presented to Council in May.
The aim will be to establish Armadale Golf Course as a well-used and valued community asset which is financially sustainable in the long term.
Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM JP said the City is currently negotiating an agreement with Programmed Turnpoint and is confident this arrangement will be the best opportunity for the future development of the course.
“We will continue to work with Programmed Turnpoint, consider any risks involved, asses the financial sustainability of the agreement and any alternative options which may arise in our investigations.
“The Armadale Golf Course was established nearly 40 years ago and we want to retain it as a community asset.
“We believe we can work in partnership with Programmed Turnpoint to increase and broaden patronage of the course and to improve the playing and social experience for course patrons. We will continue to undertake investigations alongside Programmed Turnpoint until the best decision can be made about the future of the Armadale Golf Course,” he said.
