Skateboarding WA are back this spring with a new series of workshops to be held at three skate park locations in the City of Armadale.
Coaches will be available at the free sessions to assist young people in learning the basics or landing that next trick; all ages and skill levels are encouraged to attend.
Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP said skateboarding is a great way for our young people to get outdoors, meet people and build their skills and abilities.
“It’s a great opportunity for young skate enthusiasts to get some helpful tips from the professionals who have been competing for years.
“Providing sporting activities and disciplines is beneficial to the social aspect and fitness levels of all age groups and opens new horizons.
Grab your mates and head up to Cross Park during these school holidays, on Friday 29 September from 1.30 to 4.30pm for the first workshop where the Skateboarding WA team will be running jams and games of S.K.A.T.E.
A registration form is required before participation, and young people under the age of 18 years require a parent or guardian to sign.
