Armadale Visitor Centre has recently released its Perth Hills Armadale Regional Guide and it’s a perfect companion for residents as well as visitors according to Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP.
“Whether you are yet to discover all our region has to offer during your downtime, or you’re expecting visiting family and friends during the festive season, the Destination Guide and our Visitor Centre are the go to places for all the information you need,” Mayor Zelones said.
From local events, venues for family fun, local wineries and even rock climbing, the Regional Guide has all the details for fun times with family, down time with friends or a day taking in the region’s history and culture.
“Armadale Visitor Centre is situated in the centre of town, and can help visitors and residents with accommodation in the area and surrounds, details of events being held locally and beyond, and for our community members, some of the tours and attractions available in their own backyard,” Mayor Zelones said.
The Regional Guide has been categorised into six sections:
- I’m an Explorer
- I’m a Nature Lover
- I’m a History Buff
- I’m a Culture Lover
- I’m a Family Fun Seeker
- I’m a Foodie
A social media competition is currently running for residents and visitors through to the end of November. They simply need to post a public photo to facebook or Instagram, tagging @VisitArmadale and #visitarmadale writing a short caption on what or why they love, identifying the experience to enter the Spring into Armadale Social Media Image Competition. There are six prizes to be won.
Armadale and the Perth Hills are home to the picturesque Araluen Botanic Park, Churchman Brook Dam and Serpentine Falls. Enthusiastic foodies can also enjoy memorable menus at a host of quality restaurants, wineries and cafes.
“Some of the events highlighted within the Guide delivered by the City of Armadale and other groups during the year include the Armadale Highland Gathering and Perth Kilt Run, Christmas Parade, the Kelmscott Show and Australia Day celebrations in January each year,” Mayor Zelones said.
The Regional Guide is available at the Armadale Visitor Centre, Jull Street, Armadale. For all your accommodation, attraction and tour information, contact the Centre online at www.perthhillsarmadale.com.au, email visitorcentre@armadale.wa.gov.au or telephone 9394 5410.
