The City of Armadale is delighted to be co-hosting the annual WA Trails Forum 2024, with the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (DLGSC). This will be supported in partnership by the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) and Trails WA.
The event will be held on Friday 19 April 2024, from 9am-430pm, hosted at Armadale District Hall.
This year’s forum will focus on strategic priorities of Aboriginal engagement, trails governance and sustainable trail development. This professional development event will see stakeholders from across the state come together and provide networking opportunities during the forum. The City will be hosting an industry sundowner after the event to further facilitate these opportunities.
Mayor Ruth Butterfield said: “The City is honoured to host the 2024 Trails Forum and showcase the picturesque Armadale Hills. The City has a range of beautiful trails, that include areas like Wungong Regional Park, the local favourite Roley Pools Heritage Walk, and many more trails that highlight the landscapes, animals and plants in the Armadale Hills.
“The City continues to invest in our trail networks and environmental stewardship, and we look forward to collaborating and networking with likeminded stakeholders at the Trails Forum in April.”
Armadale MLA Tony Buti said: “Armadale is home to some absolutely stunning trails and we have witnessed the growth in patronage and the benefits that come with it as a community.
“I often enjoy getting out on the trails myself and look forward to hearing about the outcomes of this forum.”
Registrations are now open for the event, and full details including the pre and post event activities are available at the DLGSC event page.
