The City of Armadale will welcome two new Councillors and five returning Councillors following the Local Government elections on Saturday 21 October.
Newly elected councillors include Gary Smith (Minnawarra Ward) and Jeff Munn (Ranford Ward), who has previously served as a Councillor.
City of Armadale Chief Executive Officer, Ray Tame thanked the Returning Officer, Mr Jeff Solliss, staff and all candidates for the manner in which the election was conducted.
“I would like to congratulate the new and returning Councillors on their successful election campaigns and welcome them to our Council.
“I would also like to extend my congratulations to re-elected Councillors Donna Shaw (Heron Ward), Caroline Wielinga (Hills Ward), Carole Frost (Lake Ward), Ruth Butterfield (River Ward) and Councillor Colin Campbell who was re-elected unopposed to Palomino Ward.”

“There was a lot of healthy interest in the 2017 elections with a record total of 25 candidates and six of our seven wards contested”

Armadale’s newly elected Councillors will be sworn in at a Special Council Meeting on Monday 23 October.
