Community events are a great way to bring the community together and we are lucky to have a wide range of great events, big and small, ran across the Armadale area. We invite local residents and community groups to run their own events and have collated some information and tools to help you make your event a success.
A quick events guide
Below is just a very brief summary of the process you should take when planning an event in the City. The full guide is available in the menu items below.
- Event approval: Depending on the size and location of your event, you may be required to complete a public event application form, with an accessible events checklist. See our events fact sheet and Contact Health Services as early as possible in the event planning stages to discuss the approval requirements. Call 9394 5000 or email info@armadale.wa.gov.au.
- Venue: The City has a range of outdoor settings and a variety of indoor venues for hire. Booking requests for City venues and facilities can be submitted online. Visit bookings.armadale.wa.gov.au or contact the City's Recreation Services on 9394 5000 or via email at info@armadale.wa.gov.au.
- Waste and recycling: Order additional special event bins from the City, complete the special event bins form or contact Waste Services on 9394 5000 or via email at info@armadale.wa.gov.au for more information.
- Road closures: Submit a traffic management plan for any road closures for review and approval by the City.
Types of public events
The below table is a basic event risk guide and indicates the time by which the public event application must be submitted to the City.
